Organizing the Art into ~ fine art categories ~
The fine art categories were created to give the website visitor, and art lover an idea of the types of art I create. They are basically an arranging method, useful for the "left" brain, organizational part of the creative world. Such organization is probably not really necessary from the artist's purely creative viewpoint, but it basically is simply fun to do for some artists such as myself, and it is rather informative for me, and for many people who have questions about the direction(s) that I am taking, and have taken through the years, with my art.
But, do they lend any valuble insights into what makes the artist Robert Terrell's creative clock tick? Perhaps they do. But in a sense, they create their own tick tock, really. For it is their own formula that creates their own cadence. Without it, the art could have, (and there is a rather high likelyhood) and maybe would have, gone in different directions.
As the scientists found out many years ago. If you interfere with the experiment, you really can change it. And I believe that the organization of my creative "flow" does change it. But, many times it is for the better. So I keep doing it. I just try not to let it take over entirely.
